About Me
I was born in Somerset and have lived all over the world from an early age, more recently having moved from the Middle East back to Nottinghamshire. I completed a BA (Hons) degree in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Sherwood institute, Nottingham.
I am a registered member of the BACP British association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Alongside working in private practice I have worked in counselling and psychotherapy teams at Tree Tops Hospice care and therapeutic services and CASY (Children and Support for Young people) Newark.
Prior to my life as a therapist I spent 15 years working as a Fire Fighter and Technical Rescue Technician in the London fire brigade. Working with and helping people in times of crisis and need has always been a passion of mine.
I have completed additional professional training working with Young people in a Humanistic and Integrative approach. Working with clients on the autistic spectrum, Bereavement, Supporting Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), OCD and Mental health disorders.
I am committed to Continuous Professional Development and also attend regular Supervision to ensure my practice is ethical and provides a high standard of quality to my clients.
I have experience of providing counselling and psychotherapy to male and female clients (aged 14 and over).
